ValuedOpinions.com Scam Alert

I just wanted to let everyone know Valued Opinions ripped me off. After redeeming two rewards in the past, I reached $19.50 and had $2.50 pending. That last $2.50 stayed in pending for well over a year. Every month, I'd send a new complaint to them. Weeks later, they'd say to wait a few more weeks, that they're behind on approving surveys.

I have yet to get that $2.50, and I completed another $0.50 survey a few days ago. We'll see if I get that. If I do, I'm still cutting my losses and redeeming an Amazon.com certificate. I'm tired of waiting months to see my rewards.

I might be using Blogger again!

I don't feel like using my own site for my blog, because it would be a hassle, and I don't want to have my blog closely associated with my gaming community, GetLives.

Then again, I might not use Blogger. I'm not sure yet. I just figured I would say hello after such a long hiatus.

Torchlight Launch Trailer

I'm excited for the game to finally be out, but at the same time, I'm disappointed, because it lacks any form of multiplayer gameplay. The developers mentioned I could play over LAN or online with friends months ago, but now, it seems that feature is gone.

Anime: A Lonely Hobby

Is anime a lonely hobby?

I was asked if I liked the "new show, Dragonball Z" today, and I laughed and answered with a question, "Do you like old shows that have been only recently turned into blockbuster films?" Obviously, the guy didn't understand, so I blatantly stated "DBZ is from the 90s."

Now, he calls me a loser, because I apparently "watched cartoons when it was uncool."

Yessir, I play Xbox.

Here's just a small image of my Xbox controller (S type) hooked up to a USB cable. It should be enough to prove I use my Xbox controller to play PC games. I haven't used it much yet, but I have got it working with Portal and Half-Life 2: Episode One.

In other news, I have been studying the Ogre3D graphics API, and I think I may be able to make a decent playground game with it. This will be my long-term goal this year, as I try to move my focus away from Flash-powered games. This shift in focus was inspired by my realization that I won't be able to cough up the cash for the latest Flash and that 3D in Flash still sucks. (Shockwave, why did you have to die!?)
